Best Monitor for Graphic Design, Video Editing & 3D Animation Updated

All in all, the Pro Display XDR is worth it if you have the budget and if you need exceptional color accuracy for print and film. IPS panels have the best color accuracy, though there is significant variation from one monitor model to the next. You'll find that some of the best business monitors are similarly-specced for photo editing. Many professionals with very specific digital or print workflows will know exactly what they need in terms of gamut coverage. But if you're not sure what you need, look for at least 95% coverage of either the DCI-P3 or Adobe RGB gamuts in the specs.

The top-tier 5K Apple-designed monitor with seamless connectivity and integration for Mac users. Philips 288E2E boasts a 4K UHD resolution or 840 x 2160 pixels, allowing you to work on the tiniest details of an image. Lastly, Its adjustable stand and portable design offer versatility in positioning and setup, catering to the ergonomic needs of designers.

Can you use a touch screen monitor with a Mac?

There are a lot of great 2-in-1 laptops out there, but if we had to pick one, it would be the Zenbook 14 Flip OLED from Asus. The color gamut describes a range of colors within the spectrum of colors that are identifiable by the human eye (visible color spectrum). But there are also more affordable monitors perfectly suitable for graphic design. My top recommendation for a low-cost monitor for design would be the BENQ PD model.

If you have used any of these – or any other touchscreen monitors–let me know about your experience in the comments section below. The ViewSonic TD2230 is a 22-inch screen, full HD multi-touch display. This display offers a stunning front-of-screen performance with a responsive and precise touch experience thanks to its 10-point projected capacitive touch technology and Super Clear IPS-type panel. Check out the table to see a comparison of all the best touchscreen monitors and choose what is right for you.

The screen’s narrow bezels give it a contemporary design, but the accompanying stand doesn’t allow it to tilt as much as some touch displays. If you prefer a more ergonomic monitor arm, add a VESA mount option. This monitor comes with a 24-inch touch sensitivity IPS panel, a 1920 x 1080 resolution, and a 60Hz refresh rate. But it does not have the capacitive feature to detect the amount of pressure you are applying.

What makes a monitor good for graphics design?

It’s often more cost-effective than hiring a full-time in-house designer. The changes are you’ll end up working from home, in which case it’s always nice to have a monitor that can multi-task. Yes, we know this is primarily a gaming monitor, but hear us out.

A high resolution is preferrable

Perceptive Pixel (82-inch) is the biggest touch screen monitor available. According to our evaluation, Philips 242B9T Monitor is the best touch screen monitor in terms of specifications. Philips’ FlickerFree feature helps control the contrast and brightness to reduce eye strain. It comes with 2W built-in speakers and multiple ports like VGA, HDMI, DisplayPort, and DVI for easy connection. Having the best touch screen monitor will help you become more productive. Should I get one high-end monitor or multiple cheaper displays?

Jacob Cass is a brand designer & strategist, educator, podcaster, business coach and the founder of JUST Creative, an award-winning branding & design consultancy that doubles as an industry-leading blog. This monitor is a scratch-resistant display that is an ideal usage choice. It gives resistance to scratches, scrapes, and other wear and tear like a regularly handled device likely to suffer. The anti-glare coating of the monitor makes it pleasant to see through the monitor during the day.

Thanks to its backlighting system, colors in IPS monitors suffer less variation under extreme lighting conditions, such as direct sunlight, compared to other types of technologies such as VA, TN or AMOLED. LED panels are brighter and consume less power than LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) panels or standard liquid crystal displays, so opting for an LED display for Graphic Design is an easy decision. Its 4K resolution, with a pixel density of 163 pixels per inch, guarantee to be able to work down to the smallest detail without losing sharpness, as you maintain a density.

And if that’s not enough screen real estate for you, it has Thunderbolt 3 compatibility that allows you to daisy chain two additional 4K monitors. There are several things to consider and look out for when you're choosing a monitor for graphic design or art. One of the most important is to decide what size monitor you want. If you're not yet working in graphic art or design professionally, you might not be ready to splash out on a high-resolution display with pro specs.

Matthew also covers AI and the metaverse for IEEE Spectrum and runs Computer Gaming Yesterday, a YouTube channel devoted to PC gaming history. It doesn’t look as sharp as 4K alternatives but still appears pleasantly crisp. The monitor also supports USB-C with DisplayPort Alternate Mode, though it doesn’t have Power Delivery for charging a connected device. An OLED monitor is hard to find but well worth the work and price, since it can give you exceptional contrast, colors, and detailing that will be closer to what you will see in print.

Luckily, the LG 27MD5KB-B Ultrafine 27″ is a great choice for Apple-loving designers, thanks to its full Mac compatibility. The Asus ProArt PA279CRV is a fantastic choice for graphic designers who need a 27-inch 4K monitor with excellent color performance and image clarity. The ViewFinity S9 offers the same resolution and color accuracy as the Apple Studio Display, but the matte screen doesn't cost extra. The Apple Studio Display offers 5K resolution as well as color accuracy across web, cinema, photography, and print applications. ‍This LG 27UL850 is a great choice for photographers, graphic designers, or anyone looking for quality color reproduction at a decent price point.

That means you get more screen real estate, and all of those added details will look that much better for being on an OLED display. Display quality is absolutely critical when choosing which photo editing monitor is best. Whether you're running the best graphic design software or the best photo editors out there, you can use virtually any screen for editing photos. However, the quality will vary, and images will likely display very differently on different devices. With support for 99% Adobe RGB, 99% DCI-P3 and 100% sRGB color spaces, this monitor certainly scores high on color reproduction and fidelity. And with its mini LED, the screen has crisp whites, vibrancy, and color saturation, better viewing angles.

Designed for video editing and CGI, this monitor is also an excellent pro-grade tool for graphic design. After a long day's work, nothing beats kicking up your feet and watching a movie. If you're looking for an AIO computer to double as an entertainment center, then we strongly recommend the Lenovo Yoga AIO 9i from Lenovo. It has a stunning 32-inch Ultra HD 4K (3,840 x 2,160 pixels) display, making it perfect for viewing movies or editing 4K video. Inexpensive models tend to cut corners by opting for smaller screen sizes, old hardware, and such. As its name suggests, it sports a 24-inch InfinityEdge display with 1,920 x 1080 pixels and a 60Hz refresh rate.

If in doubt, don't worry about HDR support, it's probably not required and you almost certainly don't want to spend the money to achieve actual HDR display performance. There's also talks about the fact that curved monitors could hinder straight-line perception. Professionals in engineering, drafting or drawing industries may find that their straight-line perception is slightly skewed because of the curvature of a monitor. There is software that can “fix” this issue, but if you’re in one of these industries, you may be better off sticking with a flat screen monitor for now.

A basic IPS monitor has, at a minimum, an RGB color depth of 8 bits. This means that it is capable of producing 16.7 million colors, well above the 262,144 colors that an average TN panel, which has only 6 bits, is capable of reproducing. A high screen resolution is indispensable to see our design projects clearly, and this is related to the number and density of pixels. The higher the number and density of pixels, the sharper the image. If you notice, in terms of panel and color reproduction, it is very similar to the Dell UltraSharp U2723QE (reviewed above), and it costs about half as much, which makes it very attractive.

Miray Cruises Wikipedia

miray cruise

This provides an excellent opportunity for those looking to travel while working while having all their daily needs taken care of. Miray Cruises has announced it will open for bookings for a three-year world cruise on March 1, 2023. The cruise will sail onboard the 1992-built MV Gemini and visit 135 countries on seven continents from November 2023 through the end of 2026. The sailing starts at $29,999 each year, per person based on double occupancy, and includes all meals, drinks, Wi-Fi, service charges and more, according to Life at Sea Cruises' website. If a week or two isn't enough time on a cruise, Life at Sea has an alternative for you. The brand from Miray Cruises will offer a three-year cruise around the world visiting nearly 400 ports, the brand announced Wednesday.

Celestyal Cruises extends suspension of sailings until July 30

In 1995, the ship was sold to Star Cruises, renamed "Superstar Gemini" and homeported in Singapore. Prior to the Life at Sea Cruises service, MV Gemini was scheduled for an extensive drydock refurbishment. The drydocking project included the addition of a Business Center (2x meeting rooms and 14x offices/available for rent), Library, Relaxation Lounge, Cafe Bar. The Business Center is fitted with large LED screens, modern audio-video equipment, printers, Wi-Fi Internet, and is served by dedicated assistance staff. During the three-year journey, the 42,000-ton vessel’s voyage will span over 130,000 miles covering 382 ports, seven continents, and 148 countries. Described by Life at Sea Cruises as offering "the ultimate bucket list cruise without having to sacrifice the comforts of home", the ship has undergone an extensive refresh and modernization prior to embarking on the three-year cruise.

It won’t be something everyone will enjoy, but many will still see the benefits of embarking on a three-year journey that will span 130,000 miles, visit 375 ports of call in 135 different countries, and sail to all seven continents. The 2024 program is highlighted by a series of themed sailings, including the second edition of the Tango Festival at Sea, which sets sail on May 5. The cruise sails from Piraeus and Kusadasi and includes a full day visit to Santorini, as well as half-day stops in Mykonos and Patmos.

MV Gemini Specs

Superstar Gemini embarked on a three-month voyage around the Pacific including a full circumnavigation of the Australian continent and visited various cities e.g. Melbourne, Sydney, Perth (Fremantle), Brisbane, Komodo and Bali between November 2007 and February 2008. The 400 cabins, located across five of the seven passenger decks, lead in with 130-square-foot virtual inside cabins where an HD screen creates the impression of a window.

In 2020-H1 (first half) the cruise liner was layup in Port Piraeus (Keratsini, Athens). In July 2020, Miray International started its own brand ("Miray Cruises") by a multi-year chartering of MV Gemini (inaugural cruise for Miray on August 31). Miray specialises in short Aegean Sea cruises (3-4-night Greek Isles itineraries) leaving roundtrip from homeports Piraeus and Cesme Turkey. The itineraries visit some of Greece's most popular islands (Mykonos, Santorini, Syros) plus Turkey (Cesme).

SuperStar Gemini's last voyage for Star Cruises departed Singapore for a seven-day cruise to the Straits of Malacca on 28 December 2008, returning to the Singapore Cruise Centre on 4 January 2009. On the same day she sailed for Port Klang, and was subsequently refitted and delivered to new owners. We believe that our employees, both shipboard and shoreside, are a critical success factor for our business. We strive to identify, hire, develop, motivate and retain the best employees, with backgrounds and perspectives as diverse as our guest base and also our job partners globally. Attracting, engaging and retaining key employees has been and will remain critical to our success. The Gemini will continue sailing her Aegean Sea program, according to the company.

In addition to amenities like a swimming pool, sun deck and fitness center, the ship will feature a large business center with meeting rooms, 14 offices, a library and a lounge, so guests can work from the sea. In exchange, passengers — or residents, as the company called them — were promised a long list of amenities, including an onboard hospital and doctor. Some cabins could host cats; travelers were also promised high-speed internet, free dining, alcohol and laundry service, and "enrichment seminars."

In addition to the previous renovations, the ship will be "completely revitalized" this fall prior to setting sail on the three-year trip, Petterson said. In 2023, Life at Sea Cruises also planned to convert the ship into a residential vessel for a three-year world cruise.

As a Ship Management Company, Miray International hasproduced excellent customer service scores by recruiting professional crew andproviding them with ongoing training and assessments. We continuouslycollaborate with our staff to develop various initiatives designed to exceedour guest service goals. Cruise Hive was established back in 2008 and among the earliest blogs in the industry. Since the start, it's been our aim to provide the latest cruise news covering all the major cruise lines.

On Sunday, Miray Cruises issued a statement in Turkish, denying that the cruise is canceled. Instead, the company said the voyage is postponed — and it blamed a lack of enough passenger bookings, rather than problems finding an appropriate ship. When the Life at Sea cruise line failed to purchase the German cruise ship AIDAaura, seen here in 2020, its plans for a worldwide cruise embarking in November began to unravel. Miray Cruises’ headquarters are based in Istanbul, Turkey, with additional offices in Piraeus, Greece and Orlando, Florida.

Life At Sea Cruises is a world cruise product offered by Miray Cruises, owned by Miray International. We own and operate the cruise vessel MV Gemini throughout the Aegean Sea, provide dinner and entertainment river cruises on our vessel Amor. We have a wide expertise of Cruise Ship Hotel Management and floating hotel management in line with our strategic development plan. Our deep passion for exploring the world is also reflected in the work we do. We offer our guests cruises where they can discover the most unique and beautiful parts of the world.

In September 2007, Star Cruises announced that SuperStar Gemini had been sold and in December 2008 left the fleet. Reportedly the new shipowner was Jewel Owner Ltd (part of the Bahamas-based Clipper Group of Denmark), which in 2009 chartered the vessel to a new operator. In 2008, Clipper Group announced that it would rename the vessel "Vision Star" and lease it to Vision Cruceros (Spanish brand/defunct since March 2009). The ship will also include a 24-hour on-call hospital with free medical visits, learning and enrichment classes, and the opportunity to make a positive impact through volunteer and philanthropic initiatives. Miray Cruises’ Life at Sea Cruises, scheduled to set sail in November 2023, will embark on an extraordinary journey spanning over 130,000 miles, encompassing 375 ports across 135 countries and seven continents. Currently, the ship has reached 50% occupancy, and reservations are being accepted at LifeAtSeaCruises.com.

With nearly two decades of experience cruising the seas, Miray Cruises has owned and operated passenger vessels as a cruise ship hotel management company since 1996. The ship's ground-breaking 36-month voyage will cover more than 130,000 miles and visit all seven continents. It will take in 135 countries and 375 ports with two to three days spent at each stop.

For summer 2019 season, Turkey's largest tour agency Etstur chartered Celestyal Nefeli (Gemini) for roundtrips from homeport Izmir (Turkey) to Greece (Syros Island, Mykonos Island, Santorini Island and Piraeus-Athens). The seasonal ship charter offered 3- and 4-day itineraries starting May 31 (with a 2-day mini-cruise) and ending on September 8. Etstur's 3-day cruise prices started from EUR 230 / USD 260 per person (double occupancy). Miray Cruises 2022 program (May 15th thru Oct 20th) was based on Eastern Mediterranean voyages. MV Gemini's schedule included 3-day and 4-day itineraries (all roundtrips from Cesme) visiting the Greek islands Mykonos, Santorini, and Rhodes, and also Piraeus-Athens. Celestyal Nefeli's itinerary program offered Eastern Mediterranean voyages to ports in Greece and Turkey.

Expert Review of MV Gemini Cruise Ship

miray cruise

Traditionally, the schedule included 3-4-day Greek Islands roundtrips from Cesme and Piraeus. In the period February 19-March 18, the ship served as a hotel providing relief housing for homeless families after the Turkey-Syria 2023 earthquake (Feb 6th). She was built in 1992 by Unión Naval de Levante [es], Valencia, Spain for Crown Cruise Line as Crown Jewel. MV Gemini will set sail from Istanbul for the new Life at Sea Cruises brand on November 1, 2023, and passengers will also have the opportunity to embark in Barcelona and Miami.

ALL CRUISE LINES (1543 SHIPS)

These celebrations will set the stage for the journey of a lifetime, creating unforgettable memories from the very beginning. One-way economy flights from New York to Istanbul start at $533 and $1,824 for business class, according to Google Flights. Cabins range from 130 square feet for Virtual Inside and Oceanview rooms, to 260-square-foot Balcony Suites, according to the release. The vessel is also equipped with an à la carte restaurant and a self-service eatery, a kids’ club, a casino, duty-free shops, a spa, and a beauty salon. Considered a mid-sized ship, the Gemini currently offers a selection of traditional amenities, such as a nightclub, a show lounge, a pool deck, and a series of bars.

"Our residents are changing their lives for this opportunity, and we are honored to be a part of their personal journeys," Holmes said in June. The cheapest packages started at $196,000 for a single traveler, and $231,000 for couples, according to the company's website. For 2019 was planned a seasonal charter to Blue World Voyages (2017-established, Miami-based wellness cruise line / new) and to be operated as "Blue World One". In May-October 2018 and 2019, MS Gemini was chartered to Etstur (Turkey-based travel agency and tour operator). In April 2016 through December 2017, the ship was chartered by Celestyal Cruises and renamed "Celestyal Nefeli".

Gemini Kicks Off Miray Cruises’ 2024 Program

Continuing its operations in the Eastern Mediterranean, the Turkey-based cruise line is now offering a series of three- and four-night cruises to Greece and Turkey. The company said that anyone requesting a refund will get one, and that it will reimburse travel expenses related to the cruise. Warning flags went up earlier this year, when the company changed course from its initial plan to refit one of its ships, the MV Gemini. For the lengthy worldwide voyage, it planned to deploy the larger "MV Lara" — a ship that never materialized. And rather than portioning the cruise for sale in smaller stages, the company required customers to commit to the full three years. Terms of the deal help illuminate the would-be passengers' financial and logistical plight.

The world’s first three-year cruise showcases an extraordinary itinerary created by Robert Dixon that encompasses 13 of the Wonders of the World, UNESCO World Heritage sites, as well as other mesmerizing locations. At each port of call, travelers will have the luxury of multiple days for unhurried exploration and the freedom to embark on their own unique adventures. "Seeing such an overwhelming interest in our itinerary and unique ports where we will always be in summer is truly thrilling," says Ethem Bayramoglu, COO of Miray Cruises.

"This is evidence of the allure of our extended world cruise concept and the exceptional experiences that await our residents aboard MV Lara." "We are beyond excited to introduce the beautiful MV Lara for this incredible, history-making, 3-year voyage," says Kendra Holmes, CEO of Miray Cruises. MV Gemini first sets sail in 1992 as the Crown Jewel for Crown Cruise Line.

Since then, the cruise ship has sailed for a long list of owners, including Cunard, Star Cruises, and Celestyal Cruises. Currently, she is in use to housing earthquake victims in Turkey and Syria. The cruise line is aimed towards working professionals that want to spend time at sea while being able to carry out their work remotely. Several companies announced new residency ships in the last year, where guests live onboard instead of ashore. The fantastic part of the three-year cruise is that the cost for guests can be as little as $2,500 per stateroom per month.

The ship has a total of 277 oceanview staterooms (including the 10 suites) and 123 interior cabins. In July 2020, Miray International started its own brand ("Miray Cruises") by a multi-year chartering of MV Gemini (inaugural cruise for Miray was scheduled for August 31st). SuperStar Gemini was based in Singapore and she cruised to various destinations year round in the South China Sea, Gulf of Thailand, and Straits of Malacca.

The itinerary will also cross the equator six times and cover 13 of the modern and ancient Wonders of the World including the Pyramids, Acropolis, Taj Mahal, Petra and Machu Picchu. While passengers have to commit to the entire voyage, they have the option of dividing travel with another passenger and taking it in turns to live on the ship, or leave the ship for periods and return to it. Friends and family are also welcome to visit free of charge and can stay in the same stateroom -- rollaway beds are available -- or in a guest cabin. In early 2009, Mediterranean Classic Cruises (formerly Monarch Classic Cruises) was booking cruises in the Aegean Sea aboard Vision Star. However, these cruises were cancelled due to the non-availability of Vision Star from Vision Cruises. Instead, SuperStar Gemini was renamed Gemini, and had a Spanish operator, Quail Travel Group.

Crown Jewel/Gemini is the largest cruise ship ever built in Spain (at Union Navale de Levante shipyard in Valencia). Crown Cruise Line used the vessel for cruises from the USA (NYC) to the Caribbean, Bermuda and Canada. In 1993, after being chartered to Cunard Line, the ship was renamed "Cunard Crown Jewel". In 1995, it was sold to Star Cruises, renamed "SuperStar Gemini" and homeported in Singapore. MV Gemini, the former cruise ship that successfully launched Life at Sea Cruises, is slated to continue her Aegean Sea voyages and will now be gracefully succeeded by MV Lara. While larger than MV Gemini, MV Lara will still maintain an intimate feel and experience for the residents onboard who are looking to create a like-minded community at sea for the three-year voyage.

The 7-day itineraries were out of Piraeus-Athens and Istanbul (overnight stay). From Izmir (Turkey) were offered Greek Islands cruises to Mykonos, Patmos, Rhodes, Crete (Chania), Santorini and returning to Athens. In early-2009, Mediterranean Classic Cruises was booking voyages in the Aegean Sea aboard Vision Star. However, these sailings were canceled due to the non-availability of Vision Star (from Vision Cruceros). Instead, SuperStar Gemini was renamed Gemini, and until 2011 had a Spanish operator, Quail Travel Group. Since the bankruptcy of Quail Travel in 2011, the cruise ship Gemini was laid up at Tilbury Docks (Essex England) awaiting charter or sale.

We make sure cruisers are fully prepared for their cruise vacation with tips on ships and ports.Millions of travelers rely on Cruise Hive in the United States, Europe, Australia, and around the world. They would spend roughly 300 days at sea, 795 days at port and have 413 overnight port stays, Chief Operating Officer Ethem Bayramoglu of Miray Cruises, the Turkish parent company of Life at Sea, said in that online session. But cruise company Life at Sea recently told customers who bought passage on a three-year voyage that rather than visiting 140 countries, their trip was called off.

In addition to its three homeports, the Gemini is also scheduled to visit Patmos and Rhodes during its summer program. Despite the setback, Witman says she's been able to form connections with other would-be passengers, who have been keeping in touch via apps and group texts. But responding to a social media comment about that same statement, the company sought to clarify that its other operations are unaffected — and in doing so, it stated, "The cancellation in question is related to our 3-year world tour project." When the cruise missed its planned departure date, the company promised to resolve lingering issues. "We are going to be following summer the entire time that we go around the world," then-Life at Sea CEO Kendra Holmes told prospective passengers in a Zoom webinar in September. Miray Cruises' MV Gemini ship charters are seasonal, in the period March-April through September-October.

Under its 12-month payment plan, the first draw came due one month ahead of the sail date. Some passengers reportedly only learned of the cancellation after arriving in Turkey. The original itinerary mapped 1,095 days of travel, heading from Istanbul to Europe and then to South America and the Caribbean. “Seeing such an overwhelming interest in our itinerary and unique ports where we will always be in summer is truly thrilling,” added Ethem Bayramoglu, COO of Miray Cruises.

However, it’s important to note that those activities vary depending on the cruise and itinerary. This newsletter will be delivered to your stateroom each evening or night so you can watch tomorrow’s activities before sleeping. This magazine will help you a lot in sharing all the onboard information so that you won’t miss any important events or dining. Also, I’ve also included the expert tips for using this newsletter to efficiently plan your cruise. Enjoy more than just a shot of nostalgia for the early days of Carnival in this spot, made of equal measures of flavor, fun and entertainment.

Vacation Deals

I know this newsletter is going to make the most of the cruise without missing any major event or activity. Whether we're hosting a comedy show, bingo, trivia, or a deck party, Activity Hosts are always on the go and in the spotlight, using the entire ship as our stage. And from Sky Ride to Ropes Course as Sports Staff we are bringing fun to new heights.

Activities

carnival cruise entertainment schedule

To work with one of our Carnival Cruise Line Entertainment teams aboard any of our vessels is to cross over to a world of endless fun and excitement, no matter which discipline your talent is in.

Long Beach (Los Angeles)

Most contracts do not require Team Member to change ships mid-contract. Sometimes things happen, but Carnival prides ourselves on keeping our talent assigned to a specific ship for the duration of a contract. Musicians who have a cameo in a Playlist Show will have the opportunity to rehearse with the cast. With a decade of firsthand experience in the cruising industry, I have developed a deep understanding of the intricacies and wonders that these majestic vessels hold.

Sports Trivia

Smoking is fairly restricted throughout the ship's public areas. Outside, there are several designated smoking areas, including a space on Deck 5 at Ocean Plaza (it's also the only area that allows cigars). Inside, the Vibe nightclub and sections of the Hat Trick Casino are the only venues that allow smoking. While aft pools on other ships are traditionally commandeered by adults, on Carnival Magic, we found this area dominated by families and splashing children.

For fun, try some fake lashes; the spa says they'll last two months. Spa treatments for couples are also available and if you're feeling particularly flush, go for the "villa" treatments, which have special suites with whirlpool baths for two. If you don't want to get off the ship on port days, you'll still find trivia and other activities on non-sea days. Musicians rehearsing for a cameo in a Playlist Show will have the opportunity to rehearse, and sometimes perform with the cast! At the studios you’ll learn your part in the show as well as receive expert coaching from our team. The newsletter covers the daily dining schedule along with information about special events going to be held the next morning.

Sound Proof Space

Walking toward the back of the ship, you will pass Library Bar -- it's a closed-off and comfortable space for reading, card play and games; a number of board games are available for free loan. There's actually no bar, but there are enomatic (self-serve) wine dispensers if you want to enjoy a glass of merlot while you lounge. Carnival WaterWorks is Panorama's water park, located at the top of the ship (you'll need to take the staircase from the middle of Deck 12 to get there) and it's hard to miss. Choose from two waterslides -- Red Fun (minimum height 4 feet) or Blue Fun (minimum height 3 feet and 6 inches) -- plus a splash park below that includes jets, sprays and buckets that drench.

Whether at Carnival Studios or shipboard, we have created trainings to support the growth of our team members. Follow our social media and blog for the latest cruise and travel news, including our best vacation deals. Pages 5 and 6 feature some Fun Facts and important details of any Port Scheduled for that day, including Port Emergency Contacts. No, Carnival Hub is operated on the cruise ship’s WiFi and doesn’t require any internet package. If you want a copy, consider heading to the guest services desk or the common areas. I’ve mentioned a picture of 2 days Fun Times of Panorama on January 20, 2024.

Immersive Experience

Cruise directors’ contract periods can often last four months, with time off in between. If you are a Music Manager, rockband singer (on select ships), soloist, or piano bar entertainer you will have your own cabin. All other musicians will be accommodated in a double-occupancy cabin which includes bunk beds, closet, desk, TV and bathroom (shower, sink, cabinet, toilet). The cabins also have plugs for charging electronics and reading lights over the beds.

carnival cruise entertainment schedule

Music plays in several lounges, evening sail-aways and glow parties take place on the Lido Deck and the disco goes long into the night. As on other Vista-class ships, the Cloud 9 Spa incorporates the fitness center and spa facilities and spans two decks. Massages, body treatments, the thermal suite and the fitness center are on Deck 12, while the salon where facials, hair services, manicures and pedicures take place, is on Deck 14 (there is no Deck 13). On a Carnival Cruise, the Cruise Director is the most visible and also “the voice” of the ship, making many of the public announcements. The Cruise Directors often host events like deck parties, gameshows, and more. They also help keep guests informed about what’s happening on the ship during the cruise.

One takes place June 30 to July 7 and July 28 to August 4 and sails through Mahogany Bay, Belize and Cozumel. From May 26 to June 2, the ship will stop in Key West, Freeport and Nassau before returning to the Crescent City. The Glory has yet to announce if it has any plans to sail out of New Orleans.

Carnival Fun Times is an onboard newsletter distributed each evening in every stateroom. This newsletter aims to inform the guests about all the next morning activities, entertainment and events. The SportsSquare Clubhouse brings some of these games indoors, as well. The theater also hosts the "Lip Sync Battle" final on the last night of the cruise, as well as Hasbro, The Game Show and the Love and Marriage Show on nights when the Playlist Production cast has off. We were pleasantly surprised by the amount of hot tubs on Carnival Magic. All in all, the ship has 10 – and that's not counting the thalassotherapy pool in the thermal suite. It almost, but not quite, makes up for the two teeny tiny pools.

The turnout for these was always sizeable, with young and older cruisers curious about the commotion and eager to join the dancing. Conversely the other new show -- Rock Revolution, the Summer of seemed to drag a bit, despite exciting choreography and a live rock band. There's no plot in the show, which features well-known music from the 1960s and 1970s. Here, the LED screen features a constantly changing backdrop of trippy images, but your eye is more likely to be drawn to the band, which play on a stage that extends out into the audience.

Daily Things to Do on Carnival Panorama

This schedule can change frequently, and if you want to sail with a particular cruise director, you should check the schedule regularly to learn where your favorite cruise director may be assigned. The schedules are fluid and may also have gaps that will be filled closer to the actual calendar date in the future. Many famous cruise directors are not currently on the assignment schedule. This often only means they may be on vacation leave or haven’t finalized a contract commitment yet.

Services and Wi-Fi on Carnival Magic

It's located right outside the Northern Lights dining room and is a cozy and quiet place to get away. Guest Services and the Shore Excursion deck are located on Deck 3, inside an atrium that marks longtime Carnival ship interior designer Joe Farcus' last commission for the line. So there's a heaping dose of neon, mirrored surfaces and other elements that are a cross between glam and wackadoodle (we didn't know whether to admire or fear the eyeball-ish orbs all around). Elsewhere in the ship, though, the decor is relatively tame and tropical; we particularly liked the quirky prints in the stairwells. When Carnival Magic debuted in 2011, it introduced SportSquare to the line. Each of our ships is a unique experience — check the features and find out which ship is right for you.

MUSICIANS & DJs

At your nightly gigs expect to interact and get the audiences engaged in your performance. In a few cases, there may be updates or changes to the eMagazine schedule for various reasons. Now, you must understand why this newsletter is so important to me. All these measures are taken by the Cruise Line to provide a hassle-free dining experience and perfect timing.

The Deck 5 "Lanai" provides shaded outdoor seating for the restaurants, but also a nice place to sit and relax in the daytime. There are ample blue beach loungers near and above both pools on Decks 10, 11 and 12. Just below on Deck 12 is SportsSquare, a colorful area with Twister, pool, bean bag toss and other games, encircled by a mini-golf course.

Self-serve launderettes are sprinkled throughout passenger hallways (one on each deck that has cabins) and include two to three washers, dryers and an ironing board. Deck 4, also known as the Mezzanine, is home to a majority of the ship's Fun Shops. The Atrium is the hub of the ship, and you will find many of Panorama's shops and help desks here. If that isn't enough to do outside, you'll find random foosball tables around the upper decks near the Beach Pool. The Tides pool is at the back of the ship on Deck 10, overlooking the wake. Like the Beach pool, it has a whirlpool on either side, though these have no shade.

The cheery space is run by trained counselors who divide kids age 2 to 11 into three groups based on age range (2 to 5, 6 to 8 and 9 to 11), though kids may be grouped together if there aren't many onboard. Activities are determined based on age group, but can include a variety of arts and crafts, puzzles, song and dance, and movies and video games. Meals are held under the supervision of counselors, including lunch and dinner. Parents must sign kids under 9 in and out of the program, but can give their 9- to 11-year-olds permission to sign themselves out. Other features include a large room with heated tiled loungers and several saunas and steam rooms. The best thing about Panorama is that families have lots of choice -- whether that's to break off and do things on their own, or spend plenty of quality vacation time together. Kids aren't confined to just the clubs, and families don't have to scramble to find fun ways to bond. An idea as simple as movie night on the pool deck (complete with blankets, popcorn and blockbusters) is a reliable activity -- and most importantly, included in the cruise fare. For those who need or want to stay connected -- i.e., everyone these days -- Carnival Magic offers several ways to do so. Internet FunHubs, located in several areas around the ship, have desktop computers for use.

The Gallery on the Way holds several Champagne art auctions, but if you want to create your own masterpieces (starring you, of course), you'll want to stop by the Photo Gallery on Deck 4\.
